Day Camp Includes

  • Three Day sessions throughout the summer for children ages 5 years old and up (some 4 yr olds excepted)
  • Several horses to ride, care for and love the entire session.
  • A counselor skilled in leadership and horsemanship to supervise and instruct the riders.
  • Special events such as: games on horseback, drill teams, equestrian crafts, and end of camp horse show for all parents. to watch what there camper has learned.

Equipment Needed

  • Riding Boots.....hiking boots, cowboy boots, any sturdy closed toe shoe with a heel.
  • Tights, leggings or jeans preferred.
  • Daily sack lunch, snacks, lots of water, sunscreen, bug spray, sports drinks.....ect.
  • WOEC provides a safety helmet. 

Campers Learn 

  • The horse - parts, colors, markings, breeds.
  • Care of the horse- feeding, grooming, cleaning, haltering, saddling, and handling.
  • English tack - its use and purpose, care and cleaning of equipment.
  • Walk and trot with control and form.
  • Trail riding - rules and safety
  • Improve balance and rhythm while riding a moving horse.

9:00 AM-1:00 PM

$150 per session

June 14th - 16th : June 21st - 23rd   

July 12th -14th

August 2nd - 4th

Because horses are so fascinating, a horse camp is one of the best sources of growth, self confidence, and fun available to a young person. A good horse camp offers an enjoyable place to get out play and learn, an opportunity to make new friends, and is a valuable learning experience that will make memories to be remembered and cherished for many years to come.
